KAITLIN MENDOZA

Hi, I'm Kaitlin Mendoza! This must be the section where I talk about myself.

I'll try to keep things short so that you can view the rest of my website (it's more important!).

I'm a proud Filipino-American (despite the fact that I can't speak or understand Tagalog that well) from California. My favorite drink is water (stomach issues), my favorite color is yellow, and the best way to tie a shoe is through the "Ian Knot". If you see me in any picture, I am almost ALWAYS carrying a camera. Music is MY JAM. I taught myself the guitar and the ukulele, and I can somewhat grasp the piano. I can also solve a Rubik's cube in under 15 seconds (view my youtube channel from when I was 12 here). I had many more hobbies such as learning the insides and outs of the claw machine, sweating on Minecraft and other video games, and collecting Webkinz when I was a kid. The only difference now is that my toy box has gotten much larger and the toys are slightly more expensive.

Although some things have changed, my throughlines (specifically for film and cameras) have been evident since day one. My dad took this video of my sister and me when I was three. Enjoy!

WHAT'S WITH THE MILK?

Untitled_Artwork (4).png

My logo embodies the essence of my creative and aspirational self. The breakdown follows:

MILK

Milk represents innocence, youth, and purity in the film industry. I value having fun, turning back to my childhood, and connecting with my throughlines/voice in my work. Therefore, milk was the perfect option for a logo.

YELLOW

While yellow also happens to be my favorite color, yellow is symbolic of energy, communication, happiness, and memory. I have a knack for working with others, and I believe that energy, communication, and happiness are the magic symbols that make collaboration entertaining and organized.

FUN FACT: I have a photographic memory :)

CARTON

Milk can either come in a bottle or a carton. Cartons remind me of juice boxes, the Lyrical Lemonade logo, and lunchtime in elementary school. MILK in a bottle makes me cringe. Team Carton was the way to go.
